Love this - great technique. How did you erase the pencil marks?

Chris, original outline and areas of shading in pencil. This effectively forms a template: photographing this with an iPad, captured these as a digital image. The drawing app, when applying colours opaquely covers the line marks, remaining marks can then be electronically erased within the app. When printed, a clean version is produced, with out lines except those intentionally left behind. The initial lines effectively delineate where areas of shadow will be. The shape of these can then be changed as the colour is added. Does that help?
