Mountain View’s - Inspired by Bob Ross

And another one that I think is better!

Great work Kiz. I can see the influence of Bob Ross.

I've got into trouble about this before, but - may I very gently suggest that you seek inspiration (and most certainly materials) WELL away from the world of Bob Ross. I can see much in your painting which would benefit from better examples than ole' Bob - he was a pretty dreadful painter, and his range of oils has nothing to do with regular oil painting: it's thick gloop, and the only reason it works at all is that he laid them on a base of wet Titanium white: which guarantees they'll yellow. Horribly. There is nothing wrong with your painting, but you'll do much better in moving on by studying mainstream oil painters: i.e. those who use methods better suited to regular oil paints, which Ross paints are not. Ross may have been a lovely man, his associates arguably less so, and he may indeed have introduced people to painting - but he was no oil painter. Move beyond Ross - he's a dead end.

I thank you all for your lovely comments especially Heather Love and Spencer Lambeth for taking the time to comment on my art work. Thank you for your comments Robert Jones
