I really like this! Very sculptural :)

Very beautiful Michael. Great drawing and beautiful washes.

Lovely style! Who is the Drawing course Book by? Would you like to past comments about it in the book section on the forum?

I do like this - the linework, the colours and the way they are used - never been so lucky in the supermarket myself!

I really like this, Michael.. great colours and line work!

Must visit that fruit stall Michael! Very good drawing.

Thank you Linda, Michael, Heather, Stephen. She actually worked on the fruit counter at Sainsburys. As we got to know each other better she said I should call her 'fruity'. I have collected quite a few drawing and painting books Linda. Two of the best for me are by John Raynes. This image is from 'The Figure Drawing Workbook' published by C and B in 1988. My sketch was done with a Birol pen and then I used a watery Aliz Crimson wash and then a Cadmium Orange Hue wash. These two colours seemed to work well. My palette is usually non scientific and random. If the colours work it's usually by chance 'cause I'm hopeless and still don't have a scientific perspective on the knowledge. I'll put the book on the the book section of the blog.

Very 'fruity' Michael and very good indeed. Love your line/pencil work, it's descriptive, as are your subtle washes. I should imagine that Fruity's left arm was quite challenging to get right?

Very striking Michael, like the line and the economical and effective use of colour.

Wow Michael, you must have bought a lot of fruit! Well done.

Thanks John, Fiona, George and Margaret. The arm was difficult Fiona. She had lovely arms. I got all my fruit free Margaret.

This is a great drawing Michael

Thanks very much Russell.

I worked in Sainsbury's for a time Mick - on the deli counter. We had strict rules about uniform! Of course, reading it again, this could have been a customer. What a stir this would have caused.

Every little helps. Brill.

Thanks Adele, Louise and Peter. She worked on the fruit counter Adele but, of course, she wasn't naked when she was at work. I only met her at Sainsburys. She did have days off you know.

I don't know many assistants who had days off Mick!
