Car boot at Corbridge
Watercolour. A bit messy with the paint but I'm learning. Joy! I love car boots and a good rummage. Corbridge is my favourite, on a Wednesday afternoon. Buyers come from Scotland and Yorkshire. Me and John, across the road, go on a Wednesday morning, if the weather is right. It takes us 40 minutes up the scenic route on the A68. What a joy it is!
About the Artist
I was born in 1946. In the 1960s and part of the 70s I was an airman in the Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm. I joined Durham Constabulary in 1971. In 1999 I retired from policing and began teaching sociology and criminology at Durham University with emphasis on policing and researching crime. I've just…View full profile
