The Greatest - Muhammed Ali
Oil on canvass, 31" x 39". This is the biggest painting I have ever done, a commission for the new, local boxing gym that has just opened. Hopefully it will inspire and motivate all who train there (including me) when it hangs on the wall above the boxing ring. Had great fun doing this, love doing people, and wanted to try and really capture the action -the moment - and the expression on Ali's face as he knocks out George Foreman. Those will eagle eyes will notice the name on Ali's belt has been changed from "Everlast" to "Franklin's" which is the name of the new gym. A nice touch, I thought.
