I think the blue pigment is very effective - and very brave of you to experiment with it! The colour really reminds me of the beautiful sea I admired in Crete this summer and the sky complements it perfectly. The tree is also well rendered ; )

The way to avoid disappointment with juries is not to enter competitions. I don't think any of us paint with a view to winning prizes; we paint because we can't help it.
