You have certainly got the stance of an akita. Very nice studies:)

On the basis that less is more - you have pulled off a superb portrait of this lovely dog. You have also managed to convey the velvety texture of an Akita's fur on the face - not easy to do in watercolour - so hat's off to you for doing it so well.
