The 60 minute acrylic challenge series by Glyn Macey inspired me to experiment with acrylics. I have also started painting plein air, often on the beach. This led to a series of semi-abstract seascapes, in which I tried to give an impression of a certain time of day by subtly changing the colors. Using a limited complementary palette of white, ultramarine blue, cobalt blue, cerulean, viridian green, orange and burnt sienna. 30x15"
