A3 size portrait of my favourite local butchers, (father and son of an old family business) who not only supply an amazing range of very tender and correctly aged meat, (that gives flavour) but also produce award winning pork pies. Sorry this painting may not be for vegetarians! Their faces are very 'ruddy' just as I saw them. Taking my husband along while I photographed this pair helped to make them more animated. I thought I had finished it when the background was a pale green but so glad I hadn't cut it off the board as adding the splashes (or cauliflowers) of darker colours has defintely given more life to my painting.
