Bet they love it

Clean lines, which I like - friends pleased, I hope: they should be! Probably we all prefer drawing and painting old buildings, for their character and quirks; and because we feel we might be catching them just in time, before developers and "improvements" set in. But we need to reflect the present day as well: a modern house has been built near to me, and a neighbour described it as "ugly, like a factory out-building": being a coward, I didn't argue; but I bet it's energy efficient, warm and comfortable inside; and it's no good hoping for Georgian grace and proportions in housing built to meet today's challenges. Everything was new and unsettling once...
