I actually disagree that this is like a photo - you would never get such wonderful texture in a photo or the variety of inventive and artistic colours in the coat. I also see that you like capturing sentiment, which you are very good at judging by the two paintings you have posted - it's a great attribute to be able to do this.

Absolutely lovely work, you have not only captured the feeling and intimacy between mother and child, but the texture and depth of the subject are superb.

Two very expertly painted pastels. The fur is so natural and realistic looking.

Stunning detail, a pleasure to view, inspirational. I am obviously using the wrong pastels/paper as I struggle to get this super detail.
