Newcastle Boats 2

I guess this is not Newcastle Upon Tyne. Smashing work though.

I like the contrast between the soft background hills and the stronger tones and detail of the foreground boats and harbour, gives a good feeling of depth.

I agree with Seok. As I have said before your contrasting tones are brilliant!

Another great boat painting, Joseph. You are so brave and bold with your dark tones which contrast so well with the white paper highlights - makes exciting viewing. The disappearing jumble of boats at the base of the quay wall are brilliantly depicted.
