An interesting technique I shall have to try sometime, its a lovely painting but your painting of your daughter is still my favourite : )

This week's life drawing was a pastel painting which I drew onto a background of gouache. I had never used gouache before, but a friend suggested that having a chalky finish it might be a good base for pastels. I did cheat a little and added a some acrylic ink to the background too as my selection of gouache tubes was limited to five - in challenging colours!
