Homage to Van Gogh by John Nolan

Lovely to see someone using paint in such a bold and exciting way. This one is my favourite with the Van Gogh painting on the wall and his portrait in the foreground. Very clever work.

John, your paintings make me smile. I love them, their luscious colours and vibrancy. They're full of life, and, I'm not sure what... but they just make me smile.

Thanks Thea and Caroline, the subject of my paintings is colour. In the homage series I am inspired by Pop Art . Each composition is carefully simplified and the palette is limited.
