Figure in the Landscape by john lamonby

John, this painting caught my eye and I had a look at the portfolio. I was interested in your movement between the landscapes and the abstract. I did a couple of landscapes in oil recently and the more I think about them the more I realize it is not the representation that interests me rather the colours and textures. It surprises me as I was not drawn to abstraction previously. Any thoughts or tips you would share? Like this work and the abstracts. John
