I find this very interesting; I can see quite clearly the blocks of colour and shape but also what the image was that inspired you...

I love semi-abstract work. I like to see where the artist has got his / her ideas from and where they go with it. I think this is fantastic. You have abstracted the whole painting including the boat. This gives it a wonderful unity. On the other two there are still aspects of the traditional eg in the cars and trees but in this one the theme is uniform across the whole painting and I just love it. Well done, John, a fabulous painting. Lovely clear, transparent colours too. I really like the pinks and blues tpogether. jx

So difficult to achieve this semi real work , A style of your own. Well done
