A beautiful painting full of warmth and expression

wonderful lighting on the face, and lovely skin tones. slightly let down by skimping on the candle and stand which doesn't seem to show the same level of skill and attention. Nevertheless - bloody good painting.

Lovely painting, I am in the process of doing a portrait of my grandaughter but I am really struggling with the darker shading, looks more like a ninja at the moment, anyway well done, and I will plod on regardless.
