I love it. It's true in most cases you don't need to draw every brick but it really works in this case, drawing the eye into the scene. It really anchors the left hand side of the drawing. Fine work!

I really like this - that lane has such a wonderful name! There's so much to be inspired by in York. I like the detail you've put into the wall - it helps to emphasise the narrowness of the lane. I've started doing drawings similar to this myself - it's very enjoyable!

Great detail in this, bricks or no bricks. It has atmosphere. Love it.

A line drawing of another of York's snickelways: ironically, the day before I drew this, I'd told the attendees at my line and wash workshop that you don't need to draw every brick when doing house and walls, then I go and do this one!!
