I painted this as a planned Xmas present for my mother who is a huge John Wayne fan. She was burgled last Xmas and a lot of her John Wayne memorabilia was stolen. I had hoped to give her some thing to replace some of it, but i'm not to sure about the likeness, my wife reckons its more like a self portrait. (he's a good lookin fella this John Wayne). Can any John Wayne fans out there get back to me and let me know if it looks like him or should I bin it. Its pastel on Velour paper by the way,
