His Chopin interpretations are still my favourite recordings. An excellent likeness of the great Polish maestro.

I was watching Rubinstein on YouTube just the other day, playing a Rachmaninoff piano concerto, conducted by André Previn - he must have been approaching 90 at the time, but he was absolutely on top of the music, and watching Previn's every move at the appropriate moments - of course, he knew the piece inside out. He was a great musician, and this is a great portrait.
