Dear Linda, thank you for all your comments. And ,well how to paint the hair? In this picture the light was from behind,I start the painting just realising what I want to do and finish it from photos.There are strands in the shadows and with patience it's possible to get close to the true image just following the shapes.And the bright "crown" is a free interpretation just testing the intensity of light and perhaps toning it down with a glaze. Hope it makes sense? Jiri
