James, you are right scenes like this can look overcrowded. The is a very calm scene. Lovely the way the boats are just resting there. We as artists' can do as we please. Well done. Thank you for the comment on Norfolk Sunset. Took 4 glazing's to get the affect I wanted!

Thanks for your comment, Jeannette. There were even more craft at a pontoon in the foregound which were missed out.

W/C, approx A4. Simplified version of this scene, the harbour is normally crowded, as it was on the day. Maybe I should have included more craft ?.... (but found the prospect daunting.)

Started watercolour painting in 1996 after being inspired by TV artists Alwyn Crawshaw and Ashley Jackson. No formal training, but some informal evening sessions with a local artist (the late Ken Middleton), plus a 5-day Edinburgh art break in 2003.
