Thanks Phil, for your kind comment. The day of the original photo was dull, but have tried to interpret Elterwater as I saw it on my last visit.

James, the Lake District is one of our favorite areas in England! My wife and I have been there on those "dull" gray days, but we rather enjoy the moodiness and softness of the muted colors, as well as the brighter days we have enjoyed as well. Nevertheless, for those of you who live there, I know you enjoy as much sun and color as possible, and that is reflected in your the bright colors of your wonderfulpaintings!
