A lovely, atmospheric piece, Jenny.

Another great one. Really like your painting style and your colors I find it difficult to paint in browns and greys.

Thank you Seok and Kevin. No browns or greys in this piece, just black Quink ink. The addition of lots of water breaks the ink down and reveals some of the pigments they used to create the black, in this one it looks mostly blue and some sepia.

Am not sure what went wrong, Helen. Am aware of my complete inability to draw a straight line so I did check that the tower is straight with the edge of the paper as are the main verticals in the main part of the building and I took more care than usual to 'square' the camera up when taking the photo.

Fantastic painting and very interesting method!

I have no trouble with the towering perspective. I think I have said this in the past. I do hope you are exhibiting ....

Thank you Satu and Gudrun - no I don't exhibit my stuff, LOL

Love the angle and the format....very striking Jenny.

What a wonderful effect you have achieved with this technique! I love your attention to detail while still using your mediums loosely and expressively. Excellent work.

Thank you very much, Fiona and Thea

How well you use this medium. Beautifully drawn too.

Eastbourne Town Hall, a nice bit of Victorian English seaside 'Toytown' architecture. An experiment, building up washes of black Quink with water - although I did use a few touches of bleach to finish. about 15" X 8"
