A lovely composition, Jenny. Great badger!

I like the textures in this, also like the painting Jenny.

Thanks very much for your comments. I used tissue paper as a base for the original watercolour painting and it always gives plenty of texture and adds a bit of interest.

If it works - and it has - I don't think I'd care much about "cheating". Forgive yourself!

My affection for badgers is under a bit of strain at the moment, because they've been digging out the nests of wild bees in the garden - the last thing they need; bees are in enough trouble, without these great hairy horrors disturbing them. But it's still magical to catch sight of one, even if they're really very common out here.

Thanks for the info Jenny!

Lovely warm autumn feel to this, I really like the colours.

Hi Jenny, I was just exploring your gallery. Enjoying your work very much and then I found this badger! Fab!, and I love the woodland composition. Beautiful colours too.

Mixed Media + Photo Collage. This was a bit of an experiment to see if I could revive a painting I'd discarded as uninteresting by cropping it and adding some photo collage. I was quite pleased with the result but wouldn't normally use photos in a painting - it rather feels like cheating!
