Thank you Margaret, it worked out ok in the end I think, I was almost crying when I realised I had to chop him off, but I really like the shadow you get with him being off the painting.

As you say, the shadow is very effective around the bee and the flowers look great too!

Watercolour pen and wash on mixed media. The little bee was actually higher up but just didn't work right, so he ended up being cut out and placed 3d lower down, I kind of like the way this gives a shadow behind him like he's flying.
