I like this particularly because you've captured something about these animals - I am resolutely opposed to fox-hunting and culling, but ..... I've lived in the country long enough to know the fox is not a lovable, cuddly animal; they wouldn't have survived so successfully and for so long if they were. You've got the cunning, the calculation, and yes, perhaps the satisfaction to which Carole refers; you can almost hear the artful chuckle.....
