Thank you for your lovely comments, coming from such talented people it’s a real confidence boost - I feel better about sending the card now. I’d tried to paint a rose a couple of times but none of them worked out very well, this was my last attempt before reverting to poppies.

This is a really good watercolour. The rose is nicely done with subtle tone changes and it pops out from the vibrant green wet in wet background.
