What a lovely painting Jane to bring a bit of summer colour to our cold wintery landscape. I remember reading about this island in Victoria Hislop's book 'The Island'.

Excellent oil painting. The colour balance and shadowing on the jar is very well done.

Oil on canvas 25cm x 30cm. These magnificent poppies were picked with other field flowers from the Island of Spinalonga. Had to work quickly as the poppies were dropping their petals

About the Artist

jane vogas
