I have just looked up your work on you website (and had a great time browsing). I wanted to leave you a message there but my computer would not let me. I really love this piece and many of the others too - your use of pastel is exciting and I am thrilled to find that YOU LIVE NEAR ME! Crete is an incredible place to work but catching the specific quality of the light can be very difficult. You succeed beautifully. Thank you for the lovely comment on my drawing

Almond Tree, Spring, 2011. Pastel on Ingres paper. 30cm x 30cm.I had to paint one of the few remaining almond trees before the blossom drops off. This is a preliminary sketch for an oil painting.
