Hi, Janet. The composition is much better. You manage to separate the tree from the building and you also increase the distance between the tree and the buildding. Excellent move! Further comments: may put a bit more variation of colour into the tree and the foreground...Best Regards..

I agree that the composition has improved Janet by moving the tree to the right however it seems you have moved it more into the foreground where it seems to dominate a little to much for my taste, I would be interested though in what you and others think,

Thanks for all the comments about my painting of St Mary's Church Silverton. I had considered moving the tree to one side but left it. Here is my second version, though as always, when I have another go, some things are improved and others are not as good. This one is on paper, rather than canvas, as used in the first attempt. The canvas added some texture, I think. I am interested in any further comments, janet.
