You have a good eye Janet. I have this photo, taken from exactly the same spot in my "inspiration folder" and its a perfect match. Now you have shown me the way I might commit it to watercolour.

Brian Ward, you'll be kind of working 3rd hand as I was' shown the way' by a friend's version.. Chris Daynes has done a beautiful one of this scene which shows how REALLY should be done!

Acrylic on 46x26cms MDF backing board that came with an old, as yet, unused frame as I had no rectangular canvas board, my preferred base. From a photo used by 2 other artist friends, one not yet completed, clearly demonstrating 3 different approaches to the same subject. They both used the grid system but, being so impatient, I preferred to work quickly by eye, resulting in inaccuracies for my part not helped by a fuzzy photo!
