Interesting original view.Like this idea and technique.

This is lovely in Acrylic Jane as you say the metallic colours are quite stunning on the ducks head and is a good example of how useful those colours can be which makes me sound like a bit of an expert in metallic acrylics when the reality is i have not even finished an acrylic painting yet!!

And I love this one for your original approach. He could be submerged in the water, or not. It's really good.

This is very striking, I would ever have thought of using metallic paints.

That colour green really sings. A very original painting.

Thank you all so much for your positive comments. I took the picture at a zoo in Spain and just loved the way the colours sung on the ducks head in the sun. Wanted to do a pic but didn't know what medium to choose until I saw the metallic acrylics and Eureka!!!!

Obviously I can't move the painting to get all the iridescent effects, but I can certainly imagine them from this representation - would love to see the original; but even this "static" version is impressive.

Love this, the colours are fabulous and it's an interesting angle. Really nice work Jane.

Thank you Frances, coming from someone whose portfolio is so good is an honour.

Metallic acrylics are brill for this project and I had taken the pic long before I knew about these acrylics. The highlights move as you move by the picture and gives the impression of a real head. Took a while to paint but I enjoyed it and the results. Hope you do too!!!
