Beautifully done, James. As usual, super line and tonal work.

Hehe super work James and lovely comment on it by your good self! When it comes to things like this none of us really grow up, that is the one of the best things in life, it can be the simplest things in nature that give us the greatest joy as you have observed so perfectly in your sepia pen drawing of this fallen conker !

I bet that you collected rather a few as well! Good drawing James.

Thank you to you for your encouraging words: I wasn't sure that such a small drawing would have warranted much attention!

A great little drawing. I think conkers are magical, the shiny brown and those gorgeous green spikey cases! are wonderful!

Looked at the Horse Chestnut trees the other day and thought about how they always start to go golden first. Conkers have so many memories, for most of us for me, my childhood my children's childhood and I still fill my pockets with them at seventy two, I just cannot resist that shininess . So a lovely drawing to bring back many happy times. Thank you.

I still get excited when I see these lying on the ground: little boys don't grow up; we just get lined and lose our hair! Sepia Pitt pen on A5
