Another strong drawing...

I agree with Sylvia and It is a very thoughtful composition too.

I like this drawing very much James. Are the darkest areas sepia too? On my screen they look black but in places the stroke looks to fade to sepia.

It is interesting object. I never seen somebody draw and paint camel except for me in Painters Online. I love your drawing. Great!

Thank you all for your comments. Paul, it is all sepia ink, I don't know why it looks black in places: the pen was well loaded at times and on the original it does look dark in those places. Midori, I wish i could say that I drew the camel from life, but it's a longtime since I went to the Middle East! Internet photos! The man is a composition from my imagination.

HibJames thank you so much for your lovely moment on my toddler pastel portrait, so pleased you like it so much x

sepia ink and nib pen I'm fascinated by the journey of the wisemen: the line about "returning by another way" gets my imagination going. This is a man who knows he will never be same again: going home lost in thought and trying to assimilate what he has gazed on: that's what we do when we draw and paint? I've used this as a thumbnail on a weeky "thought" in the places in which I work. Happy New Year
