My reference for this was a photo I took on Christmas Day 2025 during a 10 mile walk around Derwentwater in England’s Lake District. Skiddaw (931 m) is the distant peak. The bright white bark of the silver birches was an appealing feature of the scene. Acrylic paint and ink on Daler–Rowney mixed media paper.
