Biography

Victoria E Wilkinson (Vicky) has been painting in watercolour for more than 10 years. She is married, with a very understanding husband, and a dog, Kara, who keeps her fit walking across Dartmoor every day. Vicky is largely self taught but also attends watercolour classes and life drawing sessions locally. Vicky’s favourite things to draw and paint are the surprising fragments of the Dartmoor landscape, the sort of things most people just walk past on their way to that “great view”. And the small intimate corners of life that speak of the people who inhabit them. Her medium of choice is watercolour. She is endlessly fascinated by its ability to create texture from such a flat medium.Vicky also runs a small community art group in her village where she teaches drawing and painting.
