I think you are right to be very happy with it because it is an interesting and lovely painting. The blues are superb and your steps in the centre are suitably irregular following the pattern of the rocks. If there is one tiny thing - I think I wouldn't have made the figures so black as I found that my eye was immediately drawn to them and then could hardly move anywhere else, which is a shame as there is so much to see and enjoy in the rest of the painting. The figures make complete sense and are necessary to the painting, but perhaps if they weren't so dark and the outlines were just smudged a tad to match the indistinct lines of the rest of the painting, they might not grab so much of the viewer's attention.

Lovely semi-abstract painting great shades of blue.

I think anyone would be happy with a work like this. Its really striking, and keeps drawing the eye back. Great palette too.

Great feeling if depth and I like the use of the bright colours in the foreground rocks
