I think you are making great progress. I think that you are looking for realism? If you are, you need to look to use"sfumato" Sounds technical but it means that you blend the edges of your apples with your background colour. The result is stunning.... They will become real, and this does not take long to learn!! Leonardo just cant be wrong! Please try this and let me know when you post..... Very very good luck!

I am pleased you did not take this as evil criticism! I am sure you will handle this, and you have very detailed observational skill...I know there is a huge change in realism... Take a really close look at Vermeer's "Girl with the pearl earring" can you see that blending?? I think you will be on your way!!!!!! Well done Jacqueline.... Keep me in the loop!
