Some dry flowers by Dmitry Shaklanoff-von Seipt

Buy better paper by all means, but this is rather wonderful. Very heavy cartridge can respond well to light washes of watercolour or acrylic: and of course to pen and ink work - you can't have too much cartridge paper, provided it's not the stuff that glides effortlessly through a bubble-jet printer: we need a bit of body!

Well, despite your paper comments, looks very good to me

Thanks everyone for the co comments. I love a good linear drawing and watercolour paper is not very good for linear drawing. I suppose I'll be using good thick cartridge paper when I want to use pen, ink and watercolour.

Very interesting. I've not seen anything like it before. The combination of value, colour and line is wonderful.

Pen and ink, watercolour. A5. Just a doodle, the cartridge paper is not suitable; however, it gives a sort of shimmering effect. I should stop economising on paper, I have reserves for a couple of years...
