Thanks guys. In fact, there was a gnome but he wasn't chained and ran away before the eagle came.

oil on canvas, 40x50cm. Over a year passed before a couple of small unrelated drawings of Prometheus evolved into the painting you see here. I finally got the concept right and immediately started painting. This, by the way, is one of my rare oils, since I mostly did gouache before. Also, I normally don't use a palette and prefer mixing colours right onto the canvas. 'Prometheus' is the 1st of the 'Titan' series of paintings that I'm planning to paint. Hope you like this one.
