No they don't use such outdated means. They use their expert technology by burning them then when they get them home they resurrect the remains and voila - they have an ash tree. It's the nearest to the real thing that they've achieved so far.

I then don't want to think what level their medicine has reached... well Athelstan may find out one day >:)
