I love the look of you photo's Irene. What shutter speed & film did you use?

HI Max, thanks, i think maybe thats a bit of a complex question to ask the dim-wit,...a-k-a,..me ! i have no idea.? its just a small digital kodak camera.!! had a peek at your blog, its very nice to be able to put a face to someone you are speaking to. your wife does some lovely work too, and yes i agree,...that there are a lovely bunch of folk on here indeed. regards .Rhian.

Brilliant photos; what an early bird you are!

Glad you liked the swan; I was so please with the stones at the edge of the canal; much more than with the swan; I sort of lost his head as the paper was too small. I got a slightly damaged pad of pastelmat just to try it and it's fabulous but it was smaller than I'd usually use; much better than velour. I see this months magazine has an article on using oil pastels with it and wetting it for washes. Hmm! Even the sky was better than usual but it didn't photograph well and the darks didn't show up. My son's been home for a long weekend so I haven't really been able to concentrate; I even forgot I'd entered the winsor and newton online competition and forgot to vote for myself!

What a lovely series of Photos Rhian, this is obviously one of your favourite times of the day. Love, Bill

Thanks for your lovely comments Diana..and Bill, sounds as though you Diana are having what we all have from time to time, some senior moments.!!! and yes Bill, the early morning walks to watch the sun rise are just utterly majical to me, and all of the beautifull sunsets too. i just think nature is just sooooooo beatiful. Rhian (irene).
