One of my favourite paintings is Isabella and the Pot of Basil by William Holman Hunt. I found this model on the fabulous Croquis Cafe model database and the pose gave me the inspiration to draw this on a very cold Sunday afternoon. Nitram charcoal on cartridge paper 40 x 60 cm
