Hi Ian, a lovely sketch and I agree with Val and Patsy's comments. I appreciate the sitter may have decided to adopt that pose, but I think perhaps a little "poetic license" may have been in order to move the right hand onto the rear cushion, rather than have a row of finger tips along the left breast which for me, spoil the nice clean lines you have achieved. Well done, an excellent piece of work.

I take on board the comments made by you all, thank you. I did originally look at having the right arm resting on the back of the sofa but it didn't look like the arm was attached to Sara's body so we decided against this. There are so many things we may want to change with hindsight but at the time, it looked right and also appropriate for the client's wishes.
