Callanish STones by Helen Evans

Very atmospheric painting Helen. It looks as gloomy as it sometimes does up there. There is something fascinating in standing stones. My late husband and myself travelled all over Scotland searching them out though we never got as far as the Callanish Stones unfortunately. Fascinating history of the people who left them behind.

When you stand in the middle of the stones you can feel something more.....imagined or not, it’s a place full of mystery. You palette suggests the mystery and drama.
