Gosh, is that real hair Hazel?

Frank Bingley...yes, I got annoyed when doing more accurate botanical illustrations when hair gets in the paint and leaves a mark. For my creative paintings I did some sketch book experiments and decided to use it.

Went to Bempton Cliffs with Martin Murray and used one of his photos to inspire this. I do the spotting, he takes the photos, then I do the art! Watercolour, inktense, inktense pencils, acrylic, silver fineliner. Experimented with using hair!
