Martin Hague
Biography
I am a retired teacher. I trained at Loughborough College following a Creative Design Course. I taught DT and Art before changing to Information Technology. I've always had an interest in art and took A level art in the 6th form. It was only during the second covid lockdown that I started painting and have actually not stopped since then. My chief inspiration were the St. Ives group of artists. In the 70's I visited St. Ives many times on holiday and watched Keith English and Tom Gower to name two of the artists I particularly liked. I paint for pleasure more than profit although having built up such a large collection, I have attended a number of local Art and Craft fairs in order to move some of them on. I am pleased to say I have had reasonable success.
