Another brilliant townscape Harry, I love it!

Thank you, Fred!

Lovely colours, Harry. They make the scene appear serene, although I'm pretty sure it isn't in reality with all that traffic.

I edited out some of the traffic ;o)

Although the street appears 'busy' this painting has a lovely tranquil effect - lovely use of colour. Also, the abundance of sky is perfectly balanced with the buildings and the traffic. Love it.

Thank you, Brenda.

hi harry you seem to focus on suburban scenes, something which im considering for my level 4 art + design qualification,do you have any influences?????????i may focus on the more gritty side of the theme and ahve looked at works by jock mcfayden, nice painting all the same

Ed -- in my time I've been influenced by Walter Sickert, Edward Hopper, Richard Diebenkorn (non-abstract) and Wayne Thiebaud, amongst many others. I've done "gritty" too and can appreciate Jock McFadyen. Good luck with the Level 4.

thanks harry like the way Hopper gives his paintings a mysterious effect (bold sort of contrasts of coulour too),like Mcfadyen and George shaw people are excluded. in the scenes making it abit like a apocalypic scene
