Babe in the hand

Lovely image, but slightly incongruous as newborn babies are unable to smile like that. However, I am probably being picky. Beautifully painted and a nice composition.

Well the painting was taken from a photo,so I presume it must have been altered. But thanks for looking at my work,and your kind comment

Ah - yes - I think you are right. It makes a better picture so that is probably why it was done. Forgive a Mum and Grandma for knowing about babies! I think it is that at the age the baby you painted appears to be, the last thing you got in the middle of the night was a nice smile. It was more like a load of wailing over unresolved wind!

Haha,that was many years ago for me,but I am soon to become a Great Grandad!!
